WOULD you like to get experience in broadcasting, whether in front of the camera or behind the scenes?
A new television channel is looking for students and graduates with any of the skills that are needed to get a programme on air.
3VTV, which will be launched in January 2012, is a local television channel for the Blaenau Gwent area of south Wales.
The internet-based channel will show films made locally, as well as promotional videos for local businesses. It will combine professionally-made films with content made by community groups and others in the local area.
It is run by the Micro-Broadcasting Centre, part of the Institute of Advanced Broadcasting at the University of Wales, Newport. The project is funded by the Welsh Government.
The channel has opportunities for those with skills in:
- Research, filming, sound or editing.
- Presenting and voice-over work.
- Graphics work and animation.
- Journalism.
- Music composition.
