Learning Pathways for
16-19 year olds
These modules have been specially designed for those studying at level 3 in school sixth forms and further education colleges. They provide young people with an opportunity to try university level study and to discover their potential for higher level learning. Modules include:
Preparing for Higher Education: Study, Academic and Research Skills*
Discovering Higher Education: Knowledge and Subject Based Academic Skills*
Courses will be adapted to relate to specific industry or subject areas as required. We're also developing modules in Critical Thinking as well as Mentoring relating to literacy and numeracy. The programme gives students a unique and beneficial experience which can support the Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate, help with UCAS applications and add to employability. Please call us on 0800 1223 220 for more detail if you have a group of learners who would benefit from this type of study. Students could be eligible for the UHOVI Bursary Scheme call for details.
UHOVI is pleased to be working with First Campus to provide learning pathways that capture the imagination of students. First Campus works with schools in the region to raise aspirations, inspire learners, provide defined progression pathways to higher education as well as promote learning, success and retention.
