THE PROJECT
The £33m design and build Merthyr Learning Quarter will create a state of the art learning facility in the centre of Merthyr Tydfil. Embracing 21st century teaching, the facility will aim to deliver first class teaching and learning opportunities that will inspire learners across Merthyr Tydfil and its surrounding communities to engage in further and higher education, increasing qualification levels and maximising potential.

We are seeking an innovative, creative name in English or Welsh - something that will inspire and motivate students to want to learn and study at the new facility. We’re looking for something imaginative and exciting that will seek to represent all that the ‘Merthyr Learning Quarter’ stands for whilst at the same time meaning something to learners from across Merthyr Tydfil and its surrounding communities.
